The Associated Clan MacLeod Societies have a constitutional set of objectives, and this same constitution also gives ACMS powers to act in furtherance of these objectives. The work of ACMS may be performed as operational activities or as projects. When a group of volunteers come together to perform this work, they may be recognized as a committee.
ACMS currently recognizes several committees, each of which is named after an outstanding Chief of the Clan. These committees perform the following functions:
¶ Rory Mor Committee: fund development
¶ Alaisdair Crotach Committee: manage shorter term projects
¶ Dame Flora Communications Committee: produce and co-ordinate Clan communications
