Mrs. Robson was a well-known patriotic and philanthropic worker in
Tasmania. For twenty-five years she was associated with the Red Cross
in Tasmania and in 1957 was made a Life Member of the Red Cross
Society in honour of her work. She was Secretary of the Central
Auxiliary of the Launceston General Hospital from its formation and was
Organiser and Secretary of the Lachlan Park Hospital Auxiliary since
1937. In 1935 Mrs. Robson was awarded the M.B.E. She was an Officer of
the Venerable Order of St. John of Jerusalem and for her services to the
French Red Cross during the First World War she was awarded the
Medaille de La Reconnaissance Francaise in 1919. Mrs. Robson was a
Justice of the Peace and a Special Magistrate of the children's Court
from 1928 until her death on 17th May 1957 at Launceston.
