!MENTION: Rev. Dr. Donald MacKinnon and Alick Morrison, THE MACLEODS--THE GENEALOGY OF A CLAN, Section II, Edinburgh, The Clan MacLeod Society, 1968, p. 59. After two years at Acadia University, went to the School of Journalism at Columbia University, where he took a B.Litt. he became the City Editor of the TORONTO DAILY STAR, and after a breakdown, he became foreign correspondent of the STAR. After a period as a free lance, he returned to Canada and became the Editor of the ST. JOHN, NEW BRUNSWICK TELEGRAPH-JOURNAL. After a short time with the Winnipeg Free Press, he went to Regina as Editor of the LEADER POST until his retirement after twenty-four years. He served two years as President of the Managing Editors Association and served a like term as President of the Canadian Press. He was given the Award of Merit by the Columbia School of Journalism. He married Helen Fitch, who was a student at Acadia Ladies' Seminary, with issue.
