Married, as her first husband, the Rev. Kenneth Beaton (descended from the Beaton physicians of Skye), [AN HISTORICAL AND GENEALOGICAL ACCOUNT OF THE BETHUNES OF THE ISLAND OF SKYE (Reprint, 1893), p. 34; FASTI ECCLESIAE SCOTICANAE, VII, p. 171.], minister of Kilmuir, Skye, with issue. After the Rev. Kenneth Bethune's death in 1739, his widow (Christian MacLeod) married, on 13th July 1741, as her second husband, the Rev. John Munro, [8th of the Munros of Erribol (HISTORY OF THE MUNROS, pp. 350-8.)], minister of South Uist (afterwards of Eddrachillis, Sutherland), with issue. After her second husband's death, on 13th February 1755, Christina MacLeod and her three unmarried daughters came to Skye, where she passed away on 9th March 1795, having survived her second husband (the Rev. John Munro) for forty years.
