He was admitted minister of Kilmuir in Sky, the parish-church of Sir Alexander M'Donald. He died in the year 1739. He married Christian, the eldest daughter of M'Leod of WAterstine, descended of William M'Leod of Hammer, fourth son of Sir Roderick M'Leod of that ilk, commonly called Rory More, or Reoderick the Great, who was of the 1`4th generation of the family. By her he had two sons, John and William. The latter had a liberal education, and is now minister of Duirnish in Sky. He lately married Janet, daughter of John M'Kinnon of Gloasankil. John, the eldest son, got likewise a liberal education. He died abroad.
