Norman MacLeod, born at Bergen op Zoom on 1st September 1837, ... died at Gravehage on 28th January 1934. He became a Vice-Admiral of the Royal Dutch Navy, Commander of the Order of Orange-Nassau and obtained two medals in the war against Acheen (D.E.I.). He wrote several articles on naval matters. He married at Bergen op Zoom in 1868 Johanna Benedicta Wilhelmina van Voss who was born at Bergen op Zoom on 5th March 1846 and died at Rijswijk on the 5th August 1917. She was the daughter of Gijsbert van Voss and Elizabeth Alexandrina Sivaan. Vice-Admiral MacLeod and Johanna van Voss had issue.
