!MENTION: Rev. Dr. Donald MacKinnon and Alick Morrison, THE MACLEODS -- THE GENEALOGY OF A CLAN, Section III, "MacLeod Cadet Families", Edinburgh, The Clan MacLeod Society, 1970, p. 21. Was known as Alasdair Mor, and lived at Liosail in the MInginish district of the MacLeod 'country', and was the progenitor of the MacLeods of Liosail, of whom afterwards. [See post, The MacLeods of Liosail].

He married Margaret, daughter of Sir Lauchlan Mackinnon of Mackinnon. The issue of this marriage was three sons.
