Alexander Wentworth, second Lord Macdonald, born 9th December 1773; was an officer in the 10th or Prince of Wales's own regiment of light dragoons, but soon quitted the army, and proceeded on his travels to foreign parts. He succeeded his father 1795; was chosen member of Parliament for Saltash, at the general election, 1796; and recchosen in 1802.

!ARMS: -- Quarterly; 1st, Argent, a lion, rampant, gule. 2d. Or, a hand in armour, holding a cross crosslet fitchee, gules. 3d, Or, a row galley, or lymphad, the sails furled up, sable. 4th, Vert, a salmon naiant, in fess, proper.
