She was born at Leeuwarden on the 7th August 1876 and was shot at Vincennes on the 15th October 1917. She was the daughter of Adam Zelle and Antjie van de Meulen. She was a woman of considerable beauty, an expert East Indian dancer who became the rage of Paris before the Great War 1914-18. Rudolph MacLeod divorced her before this, on 26th April 1906.
