Married Sidheag MacLeod, daughter of Torquil MacLeod, IV of Lewis. Donald of the Isles granted a charter to Angus MacKay of Strathnaver and his son on 8th October 1415 [Notarial copy in the Reay papers (A. MacKay (1906) p. 376). There is confusion about the date, but Matheson (TGSI (LI) p. 333, n. 46) thinks 1415 is correct.] which was witnessed by [his brother-in-law] Roderick [MacLeod, V of Lewis].

!NOTE: There is more than confusion about the date with Matheson. If Sidheag MacLeod, Angus' wife, was an ill-treated widow in 1406, then Angus could not receive a charter in 1415. Date should be 1405, perhaps? Or perhaps this charter was granted to Angus Dubh MacKay, this Angus' son, and to this Angus' grandson?
