"He married ____ ____, by whom he had a son, "John-Garve his heir, -- and two daughters, "Janet and Giles. "He was succeeded by his son."

Duncan MacRae, 2nd of Inverinate, and had issue (see 1952 Edn., MacRae of Clunes, formerly of Inverinate), and another son, Giles (d. unmarried), a son and heir.
