!BIOGRAPHY: Rev. Dr. Donald MacKinnon and Alick Morrison, THE MACLEODS--THE GENEALOGY OF A CLAN, Section II, Edinburgh, The Clan MacLeod Society, 1968, pp. 19-20. Was born, on 25th May 1893, at Portland, Victoria, and was educated at Scotch College. Like his brothers, he engaged in pastoral pursuits. On the outbreak of the First World War, he enlisted in the 8th Battery, A.I.F., and served in Gallipoli and France. He returned to Western Australia, and made his home on the portion of Minilya, which came to him on his father's death. He married Barbara Irwin, with issue.
