Was educated at George Watson's College, Edinburgh and settled in Skye
as tacksman of Cuidreach, and afterwards took over the historic tack of
Kingsburgh. He was a Justice of the Peace, took a practical interest in
Island affairs. He died at Kiltaraglen House, Portree on 12th June 1929,
unmarried.
