Norman MacLeod was born on 3rd October 1863 [There is an error in MacKinnon; heading gives birthyear as 1853, while biography gives 1863. 1853 is correct.], and took up journalism as a career. He emigrated to Chicago, U.S.A., where he died. He married, in December 1877, Jessie Caldwell Gifford, with issue. On Norman MacLeod's death in April 1897, the representation of the famly of Fuinary devolved on his son.
