John (Rev.), ...was born on 26th August 1786, and was ordained minister of Sleat on 3rd January 1812. After a ministry of thirteen years in Sleat, he was translated to Strath as assistant and successor to his father. He married, on 28th April 1815, Anne, daughter of Sheriff Lauhlan MaKinnon, 4th of the MacKinnons of Corry, with issue.
