Alexander (Rev.)... was born in 1801, and was educated for the ministry at King's College, Aberdeen, where he graduated M.A. in 1816. After a period as a missionary at Arnisdale and Knoydart and Glenmoriston, he was admitted, on 26th April 1826, to Sleat, Skye, and, on 22nd November 1843, to Dornoch, where he died on 5th August 1852. He married, on 20th November 1833, Alexa Hume, (who died on 26th September 1875), daughter of Kenneth Campbell of Strond, Harris, with issue.
