Donald (Rev.)... was born in 1816, and was educated at King's College, Aberdeen, where he graduated M.A. in 1834, and went out to Melbourne, where he ministered from 1840 to 1845. Returning to Scotland, he became minister of Fearn, Ross-shire, and in 1856, he was translated to Strath in succession to his father. In 1886 he received the Doctorate of Divinity from Aberdeen University, and died in 1888. He married, on 10th June 1846, as his first wife, Flora, daughter of Dr. Farquhar MacKinnon [see ante THE MACLEODS OF ARNISDALE], of Kyle, without issue,and, on 18th February 1858, Emma Flora, daughter of Colonel William MacLeod [see ante THE MACLEODS OF ARNISDALE], of the Madras Army, who belonged to the Arnisdale MacLeods, with issue.
