Anne... married Richard Hay, third son of Lord William Hay of Newhall
[Lord William hay of Newhall was third son of John, 2nd Marquess of
Tweeddale, by Lady Anne Maitland, only daughter of John, Duke of
Lauderdale (Burke: GENEALOGICAL AND HERALDIC DICTIONARY OF THE
LANDED GENTRY, 1850, I, p. 552.).], Haddington, East Lothian, with issue.
Richard Hay, on succeeding to the estate of Newton, udner a Disposition
and Deed of Entail by Sir Richard Newton of Newton, Baronet, in his
favour, took the name and arms of Newton. By Richard Hay-Newton, Anne
Stewart (who died in 1777) had issue.
