Reginald George McQueen, was born on 25th June 1859 and was
educated at Clifton College and R.M.A. Woolwich. He became a Gentleman
Cadet in the Royal Artillery on 29th September 1876, Lieutenant 31st
January 1878, Captain 3rd July 1886 and Major 30th July 1896. He
served in South Africa 1899-1902 and was mentioned in Dispatches. He
gained the D.S.O. in 1900, also the Queen's Medal 3 clasps and the King's
Medal 2 clasps. He retired as full Colonel in 1908 and died on 21st
August 1910. He married in 1902 Cicely Knightley, daughter of W. Boyd
of Longbenton, Newcastle, with issue.
