Was born on 25th December 1840, and studied Medicine at Aberdeen University, and graduated M.D., C.M., in 1863. [King's College Records, 1858-62.] Practised his profession at Galston, Ayrshire, and Dundee, and died on 9th March 1893. Dr. John Balmain MacLeod married Catherine, daughter of John Hendrie, Esq., Banker, of Galston, Ayrshire, with issue.
