!SOURCE: Rev. Dr. Donald MacKinnon and Alick Morrison, THE MACLEODS -- THE GENEALOGY OF A CLAN, Section III, "MacLeod Cadet Families", Edinburgh, The Clan MacLeod Society, 1970, p. 31. It is not stated in FASTI ECCLESIAE SCOTICANAE (IV, p. 120) who the Rev. William Morrison was, but in a narrative -- THE MORRISONS OF LEWIS -- written by John MacLeod of Glen Saddell, and printed in ADVENTURES OF ANGUS OG AND OTHER TALES (Inverness, 1940), it is said that he was a brother of the Rev. Donald Morrison of Kilbrandon, and afterwards of Stornoway (FASTI ECCLESIAE SCOTICANAE (VII, p. 205), descended from the Morrison Judges of Lewis.
