Registration for Parliament 2010

Registration for the 2010 Clan MacLeod Parliament/World Gathering is now open!

Registration for Parliament 2010 will close on 1st July 2010.

New!  Register and pay your registration fees online.

Clan MacLeod Society membership is required

In order to attend Parliament, you must be a member of one of our nine Clan MacLeod National Societies. It is not necessary to be an officer, Parliament participation is open to all Clan Society members. If you would like to join or renew your membership in the Clan MacLeod Society, please contact your National Society.  If there is no Clan MacLeod Society in your home country, please contact Clan MacLeod Scotland to inquire about at-large membership.

What is covered by the registration fees

Parliament registration fees cover Parliament business meetings, morning workshops, morning and afternoon tea/coffee, transport and admission to (most) afternoon outings, all evening entertainment, guest speakers, fireworks, admission to Dunvegan Castle and Gardens during Parliament week, the Clan dinner in Inchnadamph, and Sunday lunch in Dunvegan.   A small number of optional family-oriented outings with limited capacity can be paid for separately when you arrive in Dunvegan. Parliamentarians are expected to pay for meals not explicitly included in the programme, including the weekday lunches that may be purchased at the Village Hall in Dunvegan.  You must also make your own arrangements for transportation to Parliament and for your accommodation while you are there. Please refer to our other website pages (Accommodation, Traveling to Parliament, and Parliament Programme) for more details.

There are three separate Parliament segments for which you may register:

The pre-Parliament programme in Assynt: adults (18 and over) £70.00, young people (8-17 years of age) £40.00.
The Dunvegan Parliament programme: adults (18 and over) £110.00, young people (8-17 years of age) £50.00.
The North Room Group programme:  £100.00 (inclusive of both the service project week in Assynt and Parliament week in Dunvegan).

The registration form will also allow you to sign up for the chartered Parliament motor coach which will leave Dunvegan at 4PM on Wednesday 21 July, stopping at Kyle of Lochalsh (departing 6PM) and Ullapool (departing 9PM) before arriving in Inchnadamph at about 10PM. If you or someone you know wishes to become a sponsor of Parliament, the registration form can be also used to transmit these funds.

There is no charge for children 7 years of age and under who attend Parliament, but we do require that they register. Please be aware that there are no Parliament activities provided for children 7 years of age and under, and no childcare is available.  Also note that it is not necessary for NRG members to register separately for the Assynt or Dunvegan programmes - the NRG fee includes the cost of participating in Assynt and Dunvegan activities.

Payment must be via cheque in pounds Sterling or by Visa card through PayPal.  We generally do not accept partial registrations.  Registrations should be made before 1st July 2010.

Refunds for prior registrations may be made up until 1st July 2010, but after that time refunds will only be made at the discretion of ACMS.  If you wish to request a refund, please contact the Parliament registrar.  If your refund is approved, you will receive a cheque in pounds Sterling.  We will try to process any refunds as quickly as possible, but bear in mind that we are all volunteers and we may be very busy as Parliament approaches, so we respectfully ask for your patience.
